How do i start a bbq without firelighters?

i wanna start a bbq but i'm outta firelighters. Can you guys solutions to get the fuel/beads going without firelighters?

Take newspaper crumble it into a ball and drizzle oil onto it. Put it in the center of your BBQ and pile your fuel/beads/brickettes/wood on top and light it. In no time you will be ready to grill. The oil in the newspaper will keep the fire going long enough for your fuel to light. Make sure that you drizzle the oil. Adding too much will not work.
